It's official

I'm ready for the Christmas holiday season to end. It has struck surprisingly early this year. Usually by New Years Day I am ready to take everything down but this morning, I have put away all the Christmas decor with the only thing left Christmasy being the still-decorated tree and my exterior illumination (I even changed the color of this blog if you hadn't noticed). I would take the tree down except I know that is a two person job to get it out of the house. That will most likely be removed tomorrow when Big A gets back into town, 2 days earlier than normal. I'm chalking this up to the fact that I started to listen to Christmas music earlier than usual. I try to refrain from listening to it until the day after Thanksgiving. A local radio station starts with the music on November 1st so a few days I did sneak in some of it while driving. To add to it, I even listened to Christmas music while at work. Just with the 40 hours a week, I've figured that I've listened to Christmas music for approximately 120 hours just there. Not to mention the hour every morning when the alarm goes off (another 15 hours). On the 26th, I was never so happy to hear a Lionel Richie song before. I too was dancing on the ceiling.

We took down all our stuff, including tree, yesterday. The tree was getting dry and needed to go and while we were at it, we decided to do everything else too. It is all safely packed away for another 11 months.

I noticed while being drug around shopping the day after Christmas that Valentine's Day stuff were already being displayed. What is this world coming too?
