Better late than never

I just heard today of a coworker's husband who was laid off so I sent her a link to information on Michigan's No Worker Left Behind program in case he doesn't have any post-high school education or needs training for a new field. While reading the updated news on it, I found out that due to the high demand, there is now a waiting list. So far, there are 12,000 state-wide on the waiting list. It ranges from a low of 131 people in the eastern U.P. to 5,800 in Detroit.

Today is Big A's first day back in school since about 1990. I'm glad that I found the original article about it last fall and that he was admitted just in the nick of time. Now if only he can find a job that works with his class schedule. He almost had one at UPS but they wanted someone in the afternoons/evenings which is when he has his spring classes. They liked him so much that they are going to keep his info on file and perhaps something will pop up once his schedule changes when the classes are over this semester. Maybe Hooch will learn to not attack and maybe even love the brown UPS truck if Big A ever gets to drive one.

Does he automatically get to hob knob with Dale Jarrett?

I see your Michigan representation to this year's Survivor was officially crowned the dumbest contestant ever. You should go visit his town and get a scoop of ice cream while giving him a kick in the ass.

Our local newspaper has had weekly updates about that guy so I was aware of his award although if you ask me, anyone that signs up for that show should be nominated as well.

The annual free scoop of Ben & Jerry's is what keeps some of us living here. :-)

As I'm not a survior fan, I have no idea what ya'll are talking about...

May things go well for Big A. If he starts wearing brown and Hooch attacks, will you "stand by your man" or your dog? That almost sounds like material for a Country song

That's an easy answer, Sage. The dog. They may come close in the unconditional love area but he greets me at the door everyday. :-)
